Eilex International
Audio technology that ships in products people use every day
Eilex is a California-based audio technology company. We develop software that ships inside TVs, headphones, automotive audio systems, and laptops — correcting for the acoustic limitations of real-world hardware so that listeners hear what was actually recorded.
Our flagship platform, PRISM, is a measurement and equalization system built on a technique called APVD — Acoustic Power Volume Density. It lets manufacturers tune a product's audio quickly and precisely, replacing what used to be a slow, subjective process with something repeatable and fast.
Television
Hisense, Toshiba, and Sharp have integrated PRISM and related Eilex technologies into their TV lines. Sharp's AQUOS 8K and Toshiba's REGZA 4K both use PRISM to get the best possible sound from the thin chassis and cost-constrained speakers that modern TV design demands.
Eilex for TVAutomotive
Alpine's OPTIM8 processor uses PRISM to let car audio enthusiasts tune their systems with nothing more than an iPhone — a first for the industry. BYD, one of the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturers, also uses PRISM for in-car audio.
Eilex for AutomotiveHeadphones
Our headphone technologies — including MaxWide for expanded soundstage and our binaural processing — are designed to be efficient enough for TWS earbuds without compromising quality.
Eilex for HeadphonesHD Remaster
Naxos, one of the world's largest classical music labels, used Eilex HD Remaster to create high-resolution versions of recordings that weren't originally captured in hi-res. The remastered album reached #1 in classical downloads on Japan's e-Onkyo store — and HD Remaster received the 2018 Audio Masterpiece Award.
About HD RemasterHow We Work
We're a small, dedicated team, and we work closely with every customer. When a manufacturer adopts PRISM, we handle integration support and train their engineers to use our tuning software — so they can measure and optimize each product model themselves.
If a partner's workflow demands something we haven't built yet, we build it: for one Sharp project, we wrote custom software to route audio from a PC to an Android phone for on-device tuning.
Our technology runs on the hardware our partners are already using. No special chips, no proprietary components — just software that makes their existing speakers sound measurably better.
If you're developing a product that could sound better, we'd like to hear about it.
