A User-Friendly Approach to Tuning
Alpine’s Auto-EQ, powered by Eilex PRISM™, simplifies the sound tuning process. It provides on-screen instructions, using either an iPhone app or PC app, so the user can easily make a precise measurement of the car’s system.
One of the features of Eilex PRISM is its resilience to irregularities and human error in making measurements. During the measurement process, the user moves the microphone (or iPhone) throughout the car’s cabin, capturing hundreds of measurement points. The Auto-EQ process is intelligent enough to ignore outlier information. The result is a consistent and highly objective analysis of the car’s system every time, even when different users make the measurement.
After measurement, the app’s graphical tuning interface provides real-time results so that users can quickly and intuitively perfect their system’s audio. The interface is far more flexible than a traditional EQ; the user is not restricted to moving sliders up and down. Hisense Japan has announced the release of the new 65S6E and 58S6E models of their 4K UHD TV line — which utilize Eilex PRISM® and VIR Filter® technologies. Audio Accessories Magazine in Japan has awarded Eilex HD Remaster with its Special Award 2018 for audio excellence. This award is part of its annual Audio Meiki Awards, meaning “audio excellence” or “audio masterpiece.” This year, the magazine arranged a Special Award to recognize HD Remaster for its outstanding contribution to the audio world.
Eilex HD Remaster is a high definition audio process which brings standard-definition audio as close as possible to how it would sound if it were true HD. Upsampling audio to high definition alone does not improve the sound. A smart process is required in order to generate the details and harmonics which would have been recorded if the original material were HD. This is where Eilex HD Remaster comes in.
High definition information added by Eilex HD Remaster is based on the existing audio (while noise is ignored). By carefully adding only meaningful data, Eilex HD Remaster achieves the smooth texture and natural character we have come to expect from HD audio.
SHARP announced their new AQUOS X500 series 8K TV. The incredible detail of this monitor, with “about 33 million pixels (7,680 × 4,320 pixels)” — or four times the visual information of the 4K specification — required an equally impressive audio experience. Variable-resolution Impulse Response (VIR) Filter is a modern audio filter which outperforms FIR and IIR filters in every aspect: it provides superior control over a system’s sound while requiring less computing power. Eilex PRISM (Primary Sound Measurement) is an equalization technology which uses VIR Filter. Unlike traditional audio equalizers, PRISM corrects the Acoustic Power Volume Density (APVD) of a system. APVD is a measurement of how sound energy is distributed throughout the frontal space of the speaker. It maps the strength of a wide range of frequencies at hundreds of points in front of the system. Naxos’ Hi-Res classical album “The First Selection” has been ranked as one of the top downloaded albums in the e-Onkyo music store for the first half of 2017. Ranked at number one for the most downloads in the classical music category, and number three in the store overall. This album’s popularity has been extended by Eilex’ HD Remaster process.
The album was originally recorded at 96 KHz (24-bit). Thanks to Eilex HD Remaster, “The First Selection” is now enjoyed at 192 KHz (available in both 24- and 32-bit).

Upsampling provides canvas space for increased detail in sound, but an intelligent and thoughtful process is required in order to fill in this area. The initial release contains the five albums of “Tokino Manimani” series I though V by Kanae Izutsu. The singer, Ms. Izutsu expressed her appreciation on the outstanding sound quality of the Eilex HD Remaster processed products.
Sharp Corporation released a Side-bar Theater System “HT-SP1000” on December 3, 2015. They system employs Eilex PRISM® (Acoustic Power volume Density measurement and equalization), VIR Filter® (Variable-resolution Impulse Response filter), Eilex Harmony™ (restores digitally compressed lossy audio) and Eilex HD Remaster™ (Hi-Res audio converter) technologies.
